Dexter Would, Uh, Kill for More Money. Salary Dispute With Series Star Reportedly Putting Future of Show in Jeopardy (Or, What’s a Measly $4 Million Among Friends?)

The future of "Dexter" is in question as salary negotiations between star Michael C. Hall and Showtime have reached an impasse, reports Deadline.com.

The breakdown comes as Showtime is offering $20 million for two additional seasons, while Hall wants $24 million, the story notes. Either figure would make Hall one of the highest-paid actors in cable.

Showtime executives remain hopeful, with one possibility being signing Hall for one more season instead of two, the report says.
