Superstar songstress Madonna is on the bill, according to a report that first surfaced on SBNation.com.

The NFL has yet to confirm the Material Girl’s appearance.

Madonna would join an illustrious list of Super Bowl performers that in recent years has included the Black Eyed Peas, Usher, the Who, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney.

  1. She’s still performing? Oh well, another Super Bowl Halftime for me to skip!

  2. She’s brilliant, one of the great global musical icons; not everyone’s cup of tea but no one performer is. I’m sure she’d do a well designed, terrific performance.

  3. No bigger act than Madonna. Take that illustrious list of halftime performers and not of them has the crossover appeal of Madonna. Meaning old people like Madonna (to remind us of our dance days) along with young people. Women like her as do men, gays (she’s a diva) and straights, blacks, Latinos and whites. This will be one of the most watched halftimes in history. Plus she’s got class and won’t have a wardrobe malfunction. Great choice.

  4. Uh…I wouldn’t call her act performing.
