Keith Carradine, an Academy Award and Golden Globe winner as a songwriter for “I’m Easy” from the 1975 movie “Nashville,” will take a starring role in TNT’s Western drama pilot "Gateway," Deadline.com reports.
Set in the 1880s, "Gateway" is about three brothers who step in to save their town after their sheriff dad is murdered, the piece says. Carradine will play Frank Saar, a homesteader who becomes a father figure to the three brothers, the story notes.
Carradine already has a long list of acting credits on TV, including playing Special Agent Frank Lundy in “Dexter,” along with guest appearances on “Law & Order,” “Numb3rs” and “Criminal Minds.”
“Gateway” is also known as “Tin Star,” the story notes.
