Monday Ratings: ‘Two and a Half Men’ Slips, ‘Terra Nova’ Rises

CBS took a comfortable win in the 18-49 demo for prime time in Monday’s overnights, even with “Two and a Half Men” dipping 12% from a week ago, TVbytheNumbers.com reports. “Men’s” 5.2 average demo rating still made it the top show of the night.

Fox’s “Terra Nova” climbed to a 2.7 in adults 18-49, up 8% from a week ago, when its start time was delayed by baseball overrun, the story notes.

CBS averaged a 4.0 rating for the night, easily beating ABC (4.0 average), Fox (2.9), Univision (1.5) and NBC (1.3). ABC, with a two-hour “Dancing with the Stars” setting the pace, won total viewers, averaging 15.5 million to 11.5 million for CBS, 8.2 million for Fox, 3.8 million for NBC and 3.4 million for Fox.

At 8 p.m. CBS’s "How I Met Your Mother" and "2 Broke Girls" had a 4.1 and 4.3, respectively, in the 18-49 demographic, while the first hour of ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" had a 3.0 and "Terra Nova" notched its 2.7. The first hour of NBC’s "The Sing-Off" averaged a 1.6 and CW’s "Gossip Girl" had a 0.6.

At 9 p.m. "Two and a Half Men’s" 5.2 was followed on CBS by "Mike & Molly" with a 3.9 in the 18-49 demo. Hour two of "Dancing with the Stars" had a 3.4 and Fox’s "House" had a 3.1, while hour two of NBC’s "The Sing-Off" slipped to a 1.5. CW’s "Hart of Dixie" settled for a 0.7.

CBS’s "Hawaii Five-0" was No. 1 at 10 p.m., surging 16% from a week ago to a 3.1 in the 18-49 demo. ABC’s "Castle" had a 2.6 in the same demo.
