Despite struggling in the ratings, a new NBC drama has received an order from the network for six more scripts, reports EW.com’s Inside TV blog.
The series is the Thursday night crime drama "Prime Suspect," which averaged 4.9 million viewers last week and managed only a 1.5 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. The series didn’t increase its ratings last week but didn’t lose a point either, the story points out.
The show could get a boost from added exposure, with repeat airings scheduled for Monday nights as the show fills in for the canceled "Playboy Club," the article says.
The drama stars Maria Bello as a tough homicide detective.
