HBO has tapped Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone to direct a project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project is a telepic based on "The Power Broker," Robert Caro’s Pulitzer Prize-winning 1974 nonfiction book.
The book tells how Robert Moses reshaped New York City, influencing the city’s infrastructure through construction of highways such as the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, as well as contributing to projects such as the United Nations headquarters.
Stone will executive produce the project as well, along with former studio chief Peter Guber and "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini, the piece notes.
