A chart-topping rapper faces three felony charges after he was arrested during an early-morning traffic stop, CNN reports.
Soulja Boy, 21, was arrested after police found what they described as “a felony amount” of marijuana along with “a substantial amount of cash,” the story reports. They also said they found firearms.
Soulja Boy, also known as DeAndre Cortez Way, topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007 with his single “Crank That (Soulja Boy).”
He was arrested outside Atlanta, along with four other men who were in the car, the story reports. Soulja Boy was scheduled to appear before a judge this afternoon.
