A stage collapse left 16 people injured on the set of the Paul W. S. Anderson movie “Resident Evil 5” early Tuesday in Toronto, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A platform on wheels reportedly shifted unexpectedly as actors were moving from one part of the set to another, causing a platform to collapse, the story reports. Ten people were sent to a hospital, a police spokeswoman said.
The movie stars Milla Jovovich and is set to be released Sept. 14, 2012. The previous movie in the series, “Resident Evil: Afterlife,” released in 2010, did about $300 million in business internationally, the story reports.
