The lead singer of a popular rock band has sent an angry message to Fox News, Rolling Stone reports.

"The Voice" mentor and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine issued a tweet Wednesday to tell the cable news channel to stop playing his group’s music, the story reports.

"Dear Fox News, Don’t play our music on your evil f–king channel ever again. Thank you," Levine tweeted, according to the story. It’s unclear why he wrote the tweet, the story notes.

Levine’s representative declined to comment. Television networks must pay royalties every time a song is used in a broadcast, the story notes.

  1. Tell doofus to read his ASCAP contract.

  2. Well, if he Tweeted it, it must be official & legal…. right?
As Bugs Bunny would say, “What a Maroon!”

  3. Who?

  4. It is very common for musicians to share their opinions, whether PC or not. Whether legally binding or not. You are the “maroon” if you believe that Adam Levine would think tweeting makes it “official & legal”
As for ASCAP, who cares. Fox News shouldn’t WANT to play the music of an artist who makes it clear that they don’t want their music associated with their program/network.

  5. Now that he’s made his feelings so widely known, Fox News should make every bump a Maroon 5 cut. 🙂
