Two of the former stars of long-running NBC hit comedy “Cheers” — whose characters were anything but friendly with each others on the show — will be together again on an upcoming ABC comedy pilot, Deadline.com reports.
Rhea Perlman, who sparred with Kirstie Alley on the Emmy-winning "Cheers," will reteam with Alley on Alley’s "The Manzanis," the story reports.
Alley is playing Angela Manzani, the matriarch of a big Italian-American Jersey family that clashes with its WASP neighbors. Perlman has been cast as Camille Manzani, Angela’s mother-in-law.
In addition to being on "Cheers" for six seasons together, Perlman and Alley appeared on Alley’s reality show "Fat Actress," playing herself.
