Former tennis pro Anna Kournikova, hired as a replacement for Jillian Michaels on NBC’s "The Biggest Loser," has decided to exit the show after just one season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources said the athletic tennis star, well known for her good looks and photogenic qualities, clashed with the show’s staff. In addition, some contestants reportedly found Kournikova brash.

By comparison, Michaels was deemed encouraging and soothing as a trainer. One insider described Kournikova as "a nightmare."

The star issued a statement, saying, "I enjoyed my time on ‘The Biggest Loser’ ranch. Although I will not be returning as a full time trainer on season 13, I will always be a part of ‘The Biggest Loser’ family and my commitment to bettering lives through health and fitness will continue."
