A Fox drama series has put a hold on shooting new episodes while it reshoots material for some of the seven episodes that have already been completed, Deadline.com reports.

The show is J.J. Abrams’ "Alcatraz," slated as a midseason show for the network.

Producers decided they wanted to redo some of the principal photography for the existing episodes before they move ahead with wrapping up production on the show’s 13-episode order, the story says. The reshoots for the time-travel drama are expected to take one to two weeks, the piece adds.

The show should remain in continuous production, the story notes, with shooting on new episodes to start up immediately after the reshoots are done.
