HBO and BBC Developing Prize-Winning Historical Novel

HBO and BBC are joining forces on a television adaptation of an award-winning 2009 historical novel, Deadline.com reports. The book is "Wolf Hall," which won Britain’s prestigious Man Booker Prize.

The book follows the rise of Thomas Cromwell in the court of King Henry VIII. "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" co-writer Peter Straughan is adapting the book for a TV miniseries, the story reports.

The project marks Straughan’s TV debut, and the project is being considered for airing on HBO and BBC2, the piece adds.
