Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has apologized to her fans about ending her marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries, ABC News reports.
Kardashian, 31, posted a message on her website in which she asserted that she “married for love,” but said she realized the marriage was a mistake and didn’t know how to stop the plan once it got rolling.
She included an apology in the post, writing: “I’m sorry if I’ve hurt anyone, but my dad always told me to follow my heart and I believe now that I really am.”
The wedding was filmed for an E! special, which has been in heavy rotation on the cable network. The marriage lasted only 72 days.
Kardashian also wrote: "Contemplating whether to even film my wedding was a tough decision to make, and maybe it turned out not to be the smartest decision. But it’s who I am!"
She pointed the finger at TV for pushing her into the marriage. "I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people," she wrote.
