Following the sudden departure of "Tower Heist" director Brett Ratner as a producer of the Academy Awards, Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer will take the job, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

Under Grazer’s control, the show may focus on several key presenters instead of a single host, the story says. As previously reported, Eddie Murphy, who had been picked by Ratner to host and is also a star of Ratner’s "Tower Heist," dropped out as host of the ceremony after Ratner stepped down.

Grazer was set to meet Wednesday night with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences to discuss how to refocus the live telecast, which is slated for Feb. 26, the piece adds.
