An actor known for his role as a series regular on Fox’s "Party of Five" and other television and film appearances is being sought by police in Palm Springs, Calif., reports the Associated Press.

Jeremy London is being sought after his girlfriend alleged he assaulted her, the story reports.

The police department received a call at 10:30 a.m. Friday from his girlfriend, who alleged he had assaulted her outside her home, the story says. The woman, whose name wasn’t released, suffered minor injuries in the alleged assault, which started with a verbal altercation over the couple’s child, the piece adds.

London has starred in "7th Heaven" and was featured in the fourth season of "Celebrity Rehab," the story says.
