A poll by New Jersey’s Fairleigh Dickinson University implies that people who watch Fox News are less informed than people who watch no news, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The survey of 612 New Jersey residents found that only 49% of Fox News viewers answered correctly that protesters toppled Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, while 57% of MSNBC viewers answered correctly. NPR and "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" viewers were the most knowledgeable, with 68% answering correctly, the story says.

While the poll is cited as an indication that Fox News viewers are less informed than those who view no news, the article points out that "models" were used to determine whether someone watched news or not. "Naturally, conservatives are picking apart the poll while liberals are embracing it," the article points out.
