The wife of actor Wyatt Knight, whose body was discovered Oct. 26 in Maui, confirmed that the actor known for the “Porky’s” movies committed suicide, TMZ.com reports.
Silvina Knight said he wanted to escape the pain of intense cancer treatments, according to the story.
She said that even though Wyatt Knight succeeded in his battle against cancer, his radiation therapy "left him both in physical and emotional pain," according to the story.
As we reported previously, Wyatt Knight’s body was found in an isolated area near a house where he had been staying. An autopsy is reportedly being performed.
It was unknown whether Knight’s wife was aware that he was planning suicide. But TMZ quotes Silvina Knight saying: "He was tired of the pain and after much contemplation, chose to end his life in a beautiful and a serene place."
She added: "Wyatt was an incredibly talented, intelligent and loving person with an amazing spirit. He is free and at peace."
