The man behind "Survivor," "The Voice" and "The Apprentice" will oversee the production of Spike TV’s broadcast of the Video Game Awards, reports Deadline.com.

Mark Burnett has experience with awards shows, having done the Primetime Emmys and the People’s Choice Awards, among others.

Burnett said in a release that he’s a big fan of video games. “I have teenage boys, so video games are already a part of my life,” he said. “They kick my butt in Black Ops on a regular basis, but now are letting me win in hopes of seeing some of the world premieres before the show. We are going to have a lot of fun.”
