A new Showtime drama is off to a good start, with its latest airing attracting the show’s biggest audience to date, reports EW.com’s Inside TV blog.
“Homeland” was up 18% on Sunday compared with its debut, with an average of 1.8 million viewers tuning in at 10 p.m., the story says. The bump comes after Showtime already ordered a second season of the conspiracy show, as reported last week.
“Homeland” stars Claire Danes as a CIA officer who becomes convinced of an Al Qaeda terrorist plot, the piece notes.
Showtime’s “Dexter” also built on its premiere numbers, the story points out, averaging 2.42 million total viewers.
