A straightforward newsman and a controversial, “F” bomb-dropping comedienne will have another go at co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve telecast.

Talk show host and CNN broadcaster Anderson Cooper will again be paired with Bravo star Kathy Griffin to co-host the network’s celebration in New York’s Times Square from 11 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET, reports TVNewser.com.

Griffin has a tendency to flirt with controversy, including dropping the "F" bomb as she did last year.

Said Cooper: “Kathy Griffin scares me. I’ve said this often to CNN management directly and through my attorneys.”

Griffin added: “Get ready, America. Pull up a chair and a box of your finest wine, because you’ve never seen a New Year’s Eve show like this.”

Also on the program will be Isha Sesay, reporting from the crowd in Times Square. Gary Tuchman will report live from Central Park, where the city is hosting a Midnight Run. Correspondents John Zarrella and Brooke Baldwin will offer reports from Key West, Fla., and Nashville, respectively.
