Deciding not to fight extradition, former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman will face trial in Cancun, Mexico, for the alleged murder of his wife, reports the Associated Press.
According to his attorney, Beresford-Redman, 40, decided to drop his fight against extradition because he felt he wouldn’t win the right to stay in the U.S. on appeal and wants to prove his innocence in court, the story says. He has been held in a Los Angeles federal prison and could be sent to Mexico within 60 days, the piece adds.
His wife, Monica Beresford-Redman, 42, disappeared last year from a Cancun resort where the pair were on vacation with their children, the story notes. Her body was found in a sewer cistern.
