Keith Olbermann Swears off Responding to Twitter Followers After Unpleasant Incident

Keith Olbermann has sworn off responding to Twitter followers after a tense exchange with a follower he thought insulted a guest on his show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

After interviewing comedian Richard Lewis on Monday, Olbermann became caught up in the exchange with the follower, who Olbermann thought insulted Lewis, the story says. Olbermann eventually blocked her, and declared that he wouldn’t respond to his "at" replies, the piece adds.

The follower blogged about the exchange, saying that his decision to block her was "extremely petty. Not just blocking me but blocking anyone who you construe as disagreeing with you or daring to question you," according to her site, which describes her as a "frustrated screen-writer in Progress."

Olbermann tweeted: "Ok, my thanks to everybody, but life is brief. TFN I won’t be replying to tweets. #ShowPlugs, photos, Baseball Nerd updates will continue."

  1. I didn’t realize that anyone watched Keith Olbermann. Boy, that is news!

  2. Olbermann has a show?

  3. “TFN” (as in, “TFN I won’t be replying to tweets”) simply means TIL FURTHER NOTICE. It doesn’t mean for all time until the end of the world.

  4. I guess Skeptical Observer and Zach can’t quite figure out how those darnfangled cable channel directories work. Otherwise, they’d be enjoying Keith’s new show as much as I do!
