Last night the Grammy nominations were announced and in one category, musical legends Barbra Streisand and Tony Bennett find themselves up against "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, reports Deadline.com.

The prolific TV animation producer, whose lineup of shows also includes “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show,” received a nomination for his CD "Music Is Better Than Words" in the category Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, landing MacFarlane in the same company with Streisand, Bennett, Harry Connick Jr. and Susan Boyle.

Along with his singing career and his other TV projects, MacFarlane is also working on upcoming reboots of “The Flintstones” and “Cosmos,” the story notes. He also received another Grammy nomination last night, as the co-writer of “Christmastime Is Killing Us,” a song from “Family Guy,” which was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
