A contestant who was voted off Fox’s “The X Factor” has jumped into the fray after fans angered by her ouster from the show threatened to kill judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, TMZ.com reports.

14-year-old Drew Ryniewicz, whose dismissal Thursday night from the singing competition prompted a flood of outrage and threats on social media sites, tried to sound a note of calm. "That’s not what I represent and that’s not what I want my fans to represent,” she told the website. "No one deserves death threats."

Abdul and Scherzinger were reportedly shocked by the threats and abusive messages, which were described as the strongest reaction either judge had received to date. Fellow judge Simon Cowell was also reportedly furious with them for voting off Ryniewicz.
