The star of FX’s "Rescue Me" is coming under fire for a parody of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" that he posted online last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Denis Leary’s parody of the beloved Christmas special includes Charlie Brown asking Lucy for help when he doubts Christianity, but then he converts to Islam under the influence of his friend Linus, the story says. Leary posted the video on his website, with the words "In advance of your Merry HappyHannakwanzaxmas."

The video has come under fire as "jaw-droppingly Islamophobic," according to Islamophobia-Watch.com, while Gothamist.com wrote that it was a "tough time sitting through this particularly xenophobic one-note joke," the story notes.
