Taking the Plunge: ‘Fear Factor’ Sees Hefty Drop in Audience

Dec 21, 2011  •  Post A Comment

"Fear Factor" has lost a large chunk of its audience from its debut last week, reports Bill Carter in The New York Times’ Media Decoder blog.

The show on Monday attracted 6.3 million viewers, down from the 8.5 million people who tuned in for the NBC reality show’s return the previous week. Among viewers 18 to 49, the show slid 30% to a 2.4 rating from a 3.5, the story adds.

Even with the decline, the ratings are an improvement for NBC’s performance on Monday nights at 9 p.m., the article points out.
