With Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show struggling in the ratings on OWN, what better way to get the program some attention than by having O’Donnell feud with David Letterman.

Letterman had a pretty lame joke on his popular late night CBS program Tuesday night about O’Donnell’s recently announced engagment to Michelle Rounds.

Here’s an account of it as told by GossipCop.com: “On Tuesday, Letterman made a crack about O’Donnell while discussing her new engagement to Michelle Rounds.He joked, ‘The woman she is marrying, her fiancee, was driving and her car broke down. And guess what happened? Rosie pulls up right behind her in her tow truck.’ The quip was a smug (if not particularly funny) jibe at O’Donnell’s sexuality.”

The next thing we know a number of websites had this clip of Rosie’s on-air response, which was scheduled to air today, Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 on O’Donell’s show on OWN.
