A spy drama from "Locke & Key" writer Josh Friedman has received a pilot order from Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Fox, which ultimately passed on "Locke & Key," is tapping "The Asset," a project built around a female agent set in the New York office of the CIA, the story notes. The project hails from 20th Century Fox, with which Friedman signed a three-year deal last year.
