A reality music competition show inspired by Fox’s "Glee" has been renewed for a second season, reports Deadline.com.
The show is "The Glee Project," which was renewed by Oxygen, the story reports. Casting for the new season started in September, even though an announcement had not been made about whether the show would be back.
Fox has not yet renewed "Glee," but that’s considered a foregone conclusion unless something goes dramatically wrong in the weeks ahead. Ryan Murphy and Dante Di Loreto will continue as executive producers of "The Glee Project."
Jason Klarman, president of Oxygen Media, said: “’The Glee Project’ is a special show that has tapped into a desire in our culture to watch people go for and achieve their dreams."
