Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez is developing a new television show for cable, B&C reports. The series, for Viacom’s bilingual channel Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas (also known as MTV Tres), is "Amigas, Inc."
The "aspirational" program is based on a book series that was inspired by Lopez that tells the story of four Miami teenagers who conceive of a party-planning business and proceed to get it off the ground.
The initial order is for eight episodes of "Amigas, Inc.," which would be broadcast in fall 2012 in English.
Lopez is reportedly set to executive produce along with Simon Fields and Jane Startz.
