Showtime has a documentary in the works that will focus on a former U.S. vice president who has been described as one of the most powerful ever to hold the office, EW.com’s Inside TV blog reports.

The documentary from filmmaker R.J. Cutler spotlights Dick Cheney. "The World According to Dick Cheney" will look at him from his early political career to his eight-year job as President George W. Bush’s vice president, the story says.

Cutler won an Emmy for the political film "The War Room," which examined Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, the piece notes.
