A TV series that pretty much defined the sitcom and remains one of the most loved shows of all time has been transformed into an Internet game, Globe Newswire reports.

The show is “I Love Lucy,” which is the focus of a deal involving Desilu Too LLC and CBS Consumer Products in partnership with game developer Entertainment Games.

The story reports that the game launched Wednesday, adding: “Players can jump right into one of the most famous ‘I Love Lucy’ episodes of all time, ‘Job Switching’ — known better as the candy factory episode — which is featured inside Entertainment Games’ online social game platform ‘Retro World.’”

Players can take on the roles of Ricky (Desi Arnaz) and Lucy (Lucille Ball) in the game. As Ricky, players learn how to do housework along with Fred (William Frawley), while Lucy works alongside Ethel (Vivian Vance) on a candy conveyor belt.

Said Gene Mauro, president and COO of Entertainment Games, "The overwhelming majority of our 40+ market has only fond memories of Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel, so we’re thrilled and honored that ‘I Love Lucy’ is the first licensed show to appear within Retro World."
