With a reported 8-4 vote last Friday, the jury in the "Desperate Housewives" case will return to deliberations today, reports the New York Post.

With nine votes needed for a verdict in the civil case, the judge sent jurors home on Friday with instructions to "keep an open mind" when they start deliberations today, the article notes.

The attorney for actress Nicollette Sheridan, who is suing in the wrongful termination case, said he believes the 8-4 vote is in his client’s favor, according to the piece.

The judge urged lawyers to settle the $6 million case over the weekend, but the two sides reported that the talks “went nowhere,” according to the piece.
