Madonna Goes on the Offensive in Feud With Famous DJ Over Alleged Drug Promotion — and It Works

Madonna responded to an expletive-laced attack on her from one of the most famous DJs in the world, and her response seems to have done the trick — the two appear to have buried the hatchet, TMZ.com reports.

The DJ, deadmau5, accused Madonna of promoting drug use during a recent concert appearance, calling her a “f**king idiot” for asking the audience if anyone had “seen Molly.” The report notes that “Molly” is slang for the active ingredient in ecstasy.

Madonna’s response, according to TMZ: “The Material Girl posted a photo of herself in Mickey Mouse gear … with the caption, ‘From one mouse to another I dont support drug use and i never have. I was referring to the song called "Have You Seen Molly" written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album.’"

Deadmau5, known for his mouse head costumes, posted a conciliatory response to the Madonna tweet, saying: "Fair enough, I was just voicing my concerns as I usually do. +1 respect for clearing it up personally … regardless, just be a little more aware of what you should represent at EDM events, and I’ll watch my mouth."

And Madonna reportedly did her best to make peace when she answered with her own message, complete with an emoticon wink: "Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up ‘privately.’ 😉 See you on the road."
