Following a test of two special issues that proved there was an audience for it, Hearst Magazines will partner with Scripps Networks to publish four more installments of the magazine based on HGTV, reports AdWeek.com. The publication will start off with a guaranteed rate base of 450,000, compared with Food Network Magazine, which has a 300,000 guarantee.

Michael Clinton, marketing president and publishing director at Hearst, told AdWeek, “We have had very encouraging results on the two test issues and will continue our test rollout with four more issues in 2012. HGTV Magazine has received a great response so far from both consumers and the advertising community, and we look forward to putting more of the magazine’s great home lifestyle content into the market this year.”

Dan Fuchs, who’s currently associate publisher at O, the Oprah Magazine, will be the publisher of HGTV Magazine. Sara Peterson has already been installed as the editor.
