NBC has placed a 13-episode order for a drama series, which the network plans to air during the summer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series is “Saving Hope,” which is set in a Toronto hospital. The Canadian production, which will also air in Canada on CTV, is set to start production March 12.

The show stars Erica Durance and Michael Shanks. "Saving Hope" revolves around a hospital whose chief of surgery (Shanks) is suddenly taken ill, leaving the facility and his doctor wife (Durance) in shock.

CTV has had a hand before in producing shows for U.S. television, including "Flashpoint" and "The Listener."
