A scripted comedy pilot from "Happy Days" actor Scott Baio has been picked up by Nick at Nite, becoming the programming block’s first in-house live-action comedy series, reports Deadline.com.

Nickelodeon has placed a 20-episode order for "Daddy’s Home," which stars Baio as David Hobbs, an actor who portrayed a favorite television dad before deciding to become a stay-at-home parent, the story notes.

The program marks Baio’s return to scripted comedy after he was featured in several reality shows, such as "Scott Baio Is 45 and Single" and "Confessions of a Teen Idol," the piece points out.

Nick at Nite previous aired one other live-action scripted series, the 1991 comedy "Hi Honey, I’m Home," which originally aired on ABC, the article notes.
