The list of pop divas who have been rumored to be in the running for a judging gig on “The X Factor” has just been reduced by one, TheInsider.com reports.

Janet Jackson says she’s not interested, according to the report. Jackson told the website she’s “very flattered that ‘X Factor’ let me know that I was being considered for next season, but it just wouldn’t be possible,” the story says.

Since “X Factor’s” Simon Cowell said last month that Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger would be replaced on the show with two women, speculation has focused on pop stars including Jackson, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Pink.

The story reports: “Citing a previous commitment to her ‘Number Ones Up Close and Personal Tour’ (which kicks off again this summer) and Lionsgate (the studio behind Tyler Perry’s movies), Janet simply felt taking on a TV gig would be ‘unrealistic’ at this time.”
