Report: ESPN May Part Ways With Correspondent Erin Andrews

Mar 13, 2012  •  Post A Comment

Cable sports channel ESPN may be ending its relationship with one of its veteran correspondents, according to the New York Post.

Erin Andrews isn’t scheduled to cover any events since her assignment last weekend reporting on the ACC Tournament, and her contract expires July 1, the story says.

The ESPN reporter was the subject of news coverage in 2008 when a man secretly filmed her in her hotel room and published the video online. In 2010 the man was sentenced to 30 months in prison; he will be released in July, the piece adds.

Andrews has worked as an ESPN sideline reporter since 2004.

  1. If they dump her, I wonder how long it will be before she’s hired by someone else. Will it be days or just hours. She does a good job and won’t lack for work.

  2. Idiots! She’s a great reporter. She’s probably their only personality that is even close to a household name for us girls. Other than some former players, some former coaches and that baby-screeching Berman, I don’t know the name of anyone else on ESPN. Lots of women love sports and watch ESPN also and we love her!

  4. Best of luck to Erin. Definitely will be a loss for ESPN.
