Syfy’s senior vice president of original programming will leave when his contract ends in June, Deadline.com reports.

The executive is Andrew Plotkin, who joined Syfy in 2009 and has helped the network’s show development, reporting to President of Original Programming Mark Stern, the story says. He’s leaving to pursue other opportunities, the piece notes.

Plotkin’s background includes working as an executive producer at China’s national broadcaster, CCTV, and running Class IV Productions at Warner Bros. TV with partner Steve Pearlman, the story notes. The company produced Fox’s “Reunion” and The WB’s “Related.”
