An ABC pilot has been shelved after its star suffered an injury on the set. The show is the comedy “Counter Culture,” which appears to be dead following the injury to star Delta Burke, Deadline.com reports.

As previously reported, Burke was injured in a fall during production of the pilot.

While the producers initially hoped Burke would make a quick recovery, that didn’t happen and the insurance company is now sorting out issues such as compensation for cast and crew, the story says. The actors haven’t been formally released, but it’s looking unlikely that Sony Pictures TV will film the pilot after the upfronts, the piece adds.

"Counter Culture" tracks three sisters, one of them played by Burke, who run a family diner in West Texas.
