The Roseanne Barr project "Downwardly Mobile" that’s in the works at NBC has recast a role that previously belonged to "Eureka" star Salli Richardson after she reportedly didn’t feel comfortable at a table read, reports Deadline.com.

Richardson hadn’t previously worked on a comedy series, the story notes, although she has an extensive drama resume. Barr reportedly supported Richardson throughout the process, but ultimately the comedy project’s multicamera format proved tricky for the actress.

She will be replaced by Tricia O’Kelley, an alumna of the Julia Louis-Dreyfus sitcom "The New Adventures of Old Christine,” the report notes.

O’Kelley will now play Mrs. Denby, the wife of a hedge funder who lost everything in a Ponzi scheme. The Denbys are trying a fresh start at the trailer park run by Barr’s character, Rose, and Mrs. Denby becomes Rose’s foil, the story says.
