"Community" co-star Joel McHale, speaking to reporters at NBC’s summer press event, said he believes Chevy Chase will return to the show despite a public feud with show creator Dan Harmon, reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

“He obviously wasn’t very happy. But he loves the cast; my guess is he’ll be back if we’re back. … I’m assuming so if he gets the Bentley that he asked for," McHale said.

The actor laughed off the voicemail left by Chase that attacked the show, the story says. As previously reported, Chase left a voicemail for Harmon that criticized the show as a mediocre sitcom that "suffers from a serious disconnect between what happens on set and what is seen by the audience.”

“There’s four more voicemails coming out that will make it a full series,” McHale said at the NBC press event. “It’s going to be a book on tape. It’s going to be read out loud by Samuel L. Jackson.”

Chase and Harmon were scheduled to appear on the panel, but NBC said they both had conflicts, the story adds.
