"CSI: NY" star Gary Sinise, who canceled his public appearances after a car accident last month, has scheduled his first appearance since he was injured, the New York Post reports.

Sinise will play Friday with his band, The Lt. Dan Band, at a benefit for the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College, the paper reports. The show is a benefit for Army Spc. Bryan Dilberian, who lost both legs and his left arm while serving in Afghanistan, the story says.

Sinise, 57, said he doesn’t remember the March 30 car accident, which gave him a concussion and landed him in the hospital, the story reports. Said Sinise: “Luckily, nothing was broken — a lot of torn-up muscles in my neck.”
