HBO Cancels Series for the Second Time

It appears that HBO means it this time. The pay-cable channel has decided to cancel a series — and it’s a series HBO has canceled before, HitFix.com reports.

The series is the animated "The Life and Times of Tim." The comedy, which recently completed its third season, was also canceled after season two, in June 2010. Then two months later, HBO reversed its decision and ordered more episodes of the show.

The series’ most recent fresh episode was televised Feb. 17.

"The Life and Times of Tim" historically has been a show in search of a network; it was on Fox at one point, and also ran on Comedy Central for a time before landing on HBO. It’s history on HBO has also been rough, including a long gap between season one and season two — which brought rumors of cancellation even back then.
