HBO has renewed a weekly show for two more seasons, bringing it back for seasons 11 and 12 and ensuring it will stay on the air at least until 2014, TheWrap.com reports.

The show is "Real Time with Bill Maher," HBO’s weekly political/comedy hour. In a statement announcing the renewal, Michael Lombardo, president of programming for HBO, said: “Bill Maher’s irreverent wit and fearless insights make him the perfect observer for these unpredictable times. I’m delighted that we can continue to offer an uncensored forum for his original and thoughtful humor.”

In its current 10th season, "Real Time" is averaging 4.1 million viewers, a three-year high for the show. The program airs Fridays at 10 p.m.
