AMC’s "Mad Men" has come under fire from Mitt Romney’s son Tagg, who took offense to a line in the show that called his late grandfather a "clown," reports TheWrap.com.
The "Mad Men" episode shows Betty’s new husband, Henry Francis, turning down a request that his boss, the mayor of New York, appear with Michigan Gov. George Romney. The reason given by Francis is that "Romney’s a clown and I don’t want him standing next to him," the story says.
Tagg Romney responded via Twitter, writing, "Seriously, lib media mocking my dead grandpa?" and added, "George Romney was as good a man I’ve ever known. Inspirational leader, worked for civil rights, promoted freedom. We need more like him," the story says.
Just a way for the people who do this show to take a shot at Mitt Romney via his father. Totally classless.
Hey – it is only a TV show.
