TLC has ordered another season of an offbeat reality show that some viewers have found disturbing, which shines a spotlight on people with unusual obsessions.
The show is "My Crazy Obsession," which will return for season two in early 2013 — after TLC has a chance to track down another batch of characters with quirky fixations, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show focuses on characters who have turned their love for something or someone into a lifestyle — such as building a live-in shrine — or whose lifestyles are just plain quirky. Examples in season one included a couple who own 5,000 Cabbage Patch Kids, a lady with carrot tattoos and a 31-year-old man who chooses to live as an adult “baby.”
The series started as a special in 2011. Season one, consisting of eight episodes, wrapped on March 28, with the last two shows averaging about 1.15 million viewers.
