‘ABC World News’ Opts for a New Voiceover Person — You May Know the Old One From His Other Job

Jun 27, 2012  •  Post A Comment

Doing the dirty work behind the scenes at “ABC World News” — probably without very many viewers realizing it — has been “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe, TVNewser.com reports.

But now Rowe is out as the voice of the broadcast news report, the story says. The website was unable to get a reason for the switch, but noted that job has gone a different ABC announcer.

Rowe, better known for getting his hands (and more) dirty on the Discovery reality show, had been the voice of “ABC World News” since December 2009, the story says.
